A long-time friend of mine got married last weekend, which gave me the chance to travel to Southern Washington. I hadn't spent much time there before, and it was nice to have a chance to take some pictures. The hills were steep and brown and contrasted against the evergreens. Rivers held them down, sapphire blue.

The road back took us through Mount Rainier National Park. Lots of viewpoints and an old Canon FD zoom lens allowed me to find the patterns in the hills and trees. I can't wait to go back sometime and timelapse to capture the light play.
